 b. Western Australia [1985] Currently in Tokyo, Japan. Ben is an observer. Constantly watching and examining the world around him, he records his observations with a mixture of photographs, handwritten notes and found objects. In particular, his work focuses on the relationships and connections between society, and the environment. After working as a sustainability consultant in Australia, Ben relocated to Japan to live and work as a volunteer on organic farms in the Kanto and Kansai regions, before settling in Tokyo in November 2010. ベン デイビス 1985年ウェスターンオーストラリア生まれ 東京に存在 オーストラリアで環境コンサルタントとして働いた後、来日。関東や関西の農場でボランティアとして働き、2010年、東京に移住。世界中を観察し、写真やメモ帳、日用品を用いて記録をとり続けている。社会と環境の関係性について、フォーカスを当てた作品を制作。 |
